The current step towards the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu by introducing the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Nigeria as a solution to high cost of transportation has put major stakeholders in the field of oil and gas towards finding a reliable solution.
In meeting the needs of Nigerians and the general public, the Group Managing Director of Baychester Petroleum International Limited Chief(Dr.) Winston Odumu-Ojobi held a technical and result-oriented meeting with the representatives of MIJO AUTO GAS PVT in his office at Abuja. MIJO Auto Gas PVT is an Indian company in Nigeria currently working with some stakeholders in making sure the CNG innovation is well injected in Nigeria effectively.
Chief (Dr.) Winston Odumu-Ojobi‘s area of primary interest during his discussion with the foreign company representatives were: – how the CNG conversion can impact a larger population of over 200 hundred million Nigerians within a shortest time at a minimal cost implication for motorist and road users. He also discussed the process of conversion of vehicles, timing, training of technical experts, sources of working inputs or materials and its dependability as well as safety of the products to intended users are very vital factors. Conversion station to be used as a training venue was also discussed at the BAYCHESTR/MIJO CNG meeting.
In achieving the above, both companies are currently working out a working relationship process, to set up a Conversion Centre with a minimum cost for the public to convert their cars and participate in the trainings.
The meeting also witness a presentation made by Chief (Dr.) Winston Odumu-Ojobi on the proposed new Modula Refinery Campus (MRC) which is on the way in BenueState, North Central part of Nigeria.
It is hopeful that in achieving the Renew HopeAgenda for Nigeria, the BAYCHESTER and MIJO CNG meeting held on Tuesday 28th May, 2024 in Abuja will be fruitful.
